At 45, betrayal knocked me flat. I lost what I’d built—security, confidence, a sense of self—and had to rebuild from scratch.

In rebuilding, I learned a hard truth: brilliant work means nothing if nobody knows about it. I had been hiding. Playing small. Fitting into boxes never made for women like us. So I stopped asking “What should I say?” and started asking “What if I just told the truth?” That shift changed everything.
